Our Story
Stages serves Progressive New England cuisine; drawing inspiration from the world, while sourcing our foods from close by, and presenting our dishes in an artistic manner. During the growing season we work intensively with nature's changing supply, preserving as much as possible in the process. This permits us to serve up a tiny bit of them on our plates all year round. We constantly explore and develop our base of ingredients and techniques to give our guests the best possible experience.
Stages at One Washington opened in March of 2012 by Chef Evan Hennessey and his brother Jared Hennessey. Since then Chef Evan has received numerous awards and honors including being named a James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef Northeast and has competed on Food Network’s Chopped, winning 3 times. Stages has gained many accolades such as the Award of Excellence from the Chaine des Rotisseurs for outstanding food & service, as well as named to the 100 Best Restaurants in North America List by Opinionated About Dining eight years in a row.
